I don't think I could keep up with that, so for the first time in my life I actually feel lucky that whenever I try to have a conversation, all people do is stare at my tits and wait for me to stop talking, lol.PleaseStopGropingMenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29867661.post-70641479954316008352011-04-26T02:17:41.029-07:002011-04-26T02:17:41.029-07:00This is absolutely wonderful, recently I've re...This is absolutely wonderful, recently I've realized that I have been feeling a severe lack in my need for this sort of conversation.
I agree with Ily about the 'what do you do?' line. Even when my close friends ask me about my job situation I shut them down. My job situation is a private matter that I only speak to people other than my dad about when necessary.

I'm definitely going to read this over again so I can internalize it and use it. You've got some kind of gift for making sense of emotions and stuff. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29867661.post-53457448261393497282010-09-23T11:05:50.683-07:002010-09-23T11:05:50.683-07:00Thanks for this. Plus at a lot of parties it seems the conversations revolve around sex...as an asexual it doesn't seem like I have much to say.Stephanie Silbersteinhttp://meowingatthemoon.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29867661.post-75058654661079256802010-07-14T17:39:49.336-07:002010-07-14T17:39:49.336-07:00TEDTalks would come under the heading of "min...TEDTalks would come under the heading of "mind-blowing one-sided 'conversation'", but nonetheless, if you have yet to see Matt Ridley's talk "When Ideas Have Sex", you need to go watch it, pronto. I know most people say it's rude, but it really gets to the heart of "do we have anything we connect on" for me, anyway.Sara Brookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03517748008727611269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29867661.post-81240220764710272262010-07-09T13:20:34.661-07:002010-07-09T13:20:34.661-07:00Re: Asking people "what do you do for fun?&qu...Re: Asking people "what do you do for fun?"-- Amen! In a time when so many people are unemployed or underemployed, asking "what do you do?" as an introductory question just seems weird (the first word that popped into my head was "perverse"), outside of a business setting. "What do you do for fun?" tells you so much more about a person, I think. Viva la revolucion!Ilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12795337226989102549noreply@blogger.com
